Volkswagon Corporate Tank Driving Day Northampton Tank Day

We had an enquiry from an agent called Sarah for a 90 person tank day all the bells and whistles a real pukka day.From the very first chat i new it was a hot enquiry,and she knew her business.We were given a free hand to do what we do best,a big day all military and a bit of radio control plane shooting with shotguns rifles and the orange gun bazooka.They even went for the mixed Chinese noodle lunch cooked in front of you, my favourite The day stated a bit wobbly with SAS Colin being ill,apparently had 2 outer body experiences during the night and not induced by Bacardi either.He was supposed to do a general briefing in the coach on the way from the Northampton Hilton Luckily his Numbed 2 Clever Tim stepped in to the breach and met them at the hotel while Colin swigged down a special SAS remedy made from gunpowder and urine ,on reflection I believe he made an error and this was what he used for interrogating prisoners in Iraq, either way he seemed to perk up ,and at least it stopped him smoking.

The sun shone and the ground was hard, ideal conditions ,the abbots' and 432's roared round the courses beautifully and the standard of driving was excellent .Only six girls so we reckoned the men stood a chance of winning the car crush although we had a few horsy girls who always make good tankies I spent most of the day on the Radio controlled plane shooting area manning the bazooka,we had some good shots especially with the shotguns the planes took some serious flack,we had a couple of new flyers Russ and graham one being the grand masters Judge and world champion thank god, it was windy to The other stands included Flintlock and mortar shooting, weaponry with ex SAS Terry Fox, lance and hagglung driving,and SAS Colin on woodland patrol in the woods .surprise surprise nobody survived his landmines and booby traps. He killed the girls twice and slowly,he hates all females although on this instance not enough to give them a house.

The car crush is pretty difficult for a beginner to pull of cleanly so im very strict with the lads and their score sheets .I always say"Don't take bribes and its not a beauty contest"I was told I had a look of horror on my face as I called out the winners name Fran Bridge and up stood this stunning little blond girl with a smile you had to fall in love with.On the way over to the chieftain with 90 pairs of eyes watching I whispered to myself " beam me up Scottie"As fran,s team climbed on to the chieftain turret i said to her " please tell me you ride a horse "it turned out she actually owned one and wow what a crush .Straight up the middle with the left track ,the drivers door burst open just as planned so we could get that special picture .She gave Tim a big hug lucky devil ,but he froze with fright then Richard piped up "I knew he'd win see his chest muscles ,bet he goes up the gym ,i gave him a 10 on the abbott" .SAS Colin shouted in his best sergeant parade voice "How many times, the guys with bumpy chests are Girls"These lads think of nothing but tanks,tank,tanks .

Then best of all we all got invited back to the Hilton for a meal and drinks all on Volkswagen ,very generous considering Andy can drink for England .Fran asked me to collect her prize with her at the awards which was sweet, the photographer took our photo im keeping one in my wallet, partly as a guide for the lads, woman -man-man-woman .
